S.E. Hinton really intrigued me not only because she wrote one of most favorite books but they way she brought a younger a rebellious side to her books. Why was she doing this? Was she experiencing these same things that she wrote in her books? Or was she just trying to reach out to a younger crowd? S.E. Hinton is a very good author and maybe people feel the same on how I feel about her and want to know about her background.

"Stay Golden Ponyboy!"
Reading was never a really big hobby for me until that all changed during the seventh grade. During that time we were assigned to reading assignments and we read many books, none that i really remember because they didn't interest me, but I do recall one book we were assigned to read, "The Outsiders", by S.E. Hinton. This book just changed my life not just on a personal term but a literary term as well. The way the book brought in a younger age group of people that wen through many crazy and eye opening experiences just made it for me. This is the one book that I can say that I have read twice and it never got old.
